On Thursday, April 9, 2026 we held the launch of our Into the Light Experience at our partner Hoidale’s location here in Wichita. Into the Light is a mobile interactive trailer designed to shift perspectives and showcase the incredible capabilities of blind or visually impaired individuals. Admission was free and participants were able to experience Into the Light themselves.
The immersive simulation features six hands-on stations that offer the opportunity to experience daily tasks such as unlocking a door or preparing a drink in the kitchen from the perspective of a BVI individual.
A big shoutout to Hutton in Wichita for setting up the inside of the trailer and to BG Masterworks in Wichita for helping us with the trailer wrap for Guiding Paws and Into the Light. We’ll be taking the trailer to schools, colleges, and businesses to educate and inspire others about the capabilities of the blind and low vision community. Hope to see you at one of the events!
